The pandemic phase of the global economic downturn allows the ceramic tiles manufacturer to  learn and improve their services

CERAMIC tiles manufacturer Niro Ceramic Group is on the road to normalisation after weathering the worse of Covid-19 for the last two years.

MD Ian Kok said the company was not spared from the impact of the global economic downturn but has managed to maintain operations.

“We have been able to maintain our operations and continue to deliver quality products to our customers.

“Our sales in the last two years have been flat. But in spite of the challenges, there were many good things that came out of that period,” he told The Malaysian Reserve.

He said the group has spent the down time learning and improving during the challenging times.

“We have been able to learn to be better in many ways, to improve our effectiveness, and improve our offerings and services to the market,” he said.

Among the group’s key strengths is Creative Lab, a boutique design studio for the group, that provide clients with innovative designs.

Kok said the solutions offered by Creative Lab stands out from the rest due to its unique approach to client needs.

“To achieve this, we engage our sales designers to understand the specific requirements of each project and to develop customised solutions that will best suit the end user’s needs,” he said.

“Our customers then receive a fully detailed and graphical proposal, which includes an overview of the concept, the technical details of the proposed solution and the cost involved. This ensures that the customer understands exactly what they are getting and why the particular solution was recommended,” he explained.

Aside from individual projects, the group also offers its services to developers who want to create a new development or renovate an existing property.

“The majority of our sales are business to business, and we have been fortunate to form a strong reputation among developers, architects, interior designers and contractors.

“Hence, the pandemic phase of the global economic downturn has not affected us greatly. Instead, it allowed us to focus on strengthening our relationships with our partners in the industry,” he said.

Focusing on seven key markets, including Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Vietnam, India, China and Spain, Niro Ceramic is optimistic that the group will bounce back into full swing once the economy stabilises.

“We expect it’s going to be a good year ahead for Niro Ceramic.

“With 42 Creative Lab branches across Malaysia, we are confident that we will be able to provide the market with quality products and excellent service,” he concluded.

“With our employees’ welfare at heart, we have not retrenched any staff members in the past two years even though it is difficult to do business during this period.”

Now a fully Malaysian-owned company, Niro Ceramic is proud to be a leading provider of high-quality ceramics in Asia. Established in Switzerland in 1979, Niro Ceramic has since expanded its operations to over 30 countries worldwide.

Having a diverse network across the globe enabled Niro Ceramic to become the leading supplier that is backed by large stock keeping, ensuring prompt delivery with great credibility and customer satisfaction guaranteed.
